Rodi Hellas was founded in 2005 as a member of Agronet (Agrodyktio) S. Kassidis. Based in Dytiko, in the broader area of Yiannitsa in northern Greece, Rodi Hellas is currently Greece’s largest pomegranate producer. The company’s founder’s vision has always been clear; to create and develop the systematic cultivation of pomegranates in Greece following a contracted cultivation model, to create a new “player” in the world pomegranate export market and to gradually expand into the processing of fresh pomegranate to various by-products.

Since 2005, Rodi Hellas has managed to unite more than 450 growers throughout Greece while educating them under the contracted cultivation model on how to grow healthy spray free pomegranates.  This has now reached an area of 1100 hectares out of which 200 hectares are self owned, making Rodi Hellas the largest Greek pomegranate producer. This example was soon followed by independent growers as well as cooperatives and as a result Greece today enjoys 2000 hectares of pomegranate cultivated land.

Today, Rodi Hellas not only covers its domestic market needs but is becoming the new pomegranate export country in countries like Germany, Russia, Italy and the UK  while successfully entering the market of by-products such as pomegranate juice and jam.
